Everbright International and Bank of China Shenzhen Branch Inks Strategic Cooperation Agreement Fostering a Long-term and Mutually-Beneficial Cooperation

21 March 2018, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that it recently signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with the Shenzhen Branch of Bank of China Limited ("Bank of China Shenzhen Branch") to strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two parties in the area of ecological and environmental protection.

Pursuant to the agreement, Bank of China Shenzhen Branch will provide up to RMB12 billion financial support to Everbright International, which includes RMB5 billion for the Group’s environmental energy sector and the other business sectors, RMB3 billion for the environmental water sector and RMB4 billion for the greentech sector. This financing arrangement includes diversified financing options, with a focus on supporting the construction and daily operations of Everbright International’s major projects in China. It also offers offshore financial support for the Group’s overseas business development.
