Fuzhou Guang Min Road & Bridge Construction and Development Company Limited ("the Company") is a sino-foreign co-operative joint venture based on the “Law of People’s Republic of China on Sino-Foreign Co-operative Enterprises” and its implementing rules. Greenway Venture Limited (a company incorporated in the British Virgin Inslands), jointly established by China Everbright International Limited (with 80% equity interest) and China Everbright Holdings Company Limited (with 20% equity interest) is the foreign partner, while the 福州開發區國有資產營運有限公司 is the Chinese partner. The Company was established on 18 May 1998. The main business of the Company is to construct and operate the Fuzhou Qingzhou Bridge ("the Bridge").
The Bridge is situated between Fuzhou Mawei and Changle, which is also located in the center of Fuzhou City, Golden Triangle in Minjiang River and the Changle International Airport. The Bridge connected to the National Highway No. 104 to Beijing in the north, National Highway No. 324 to Guangzhou and Hong Kong in the south and Highway No. 316 in the west through Airport highway. The major national highway “Tong San Xian”, which is passing along the eastern seashore of Mainland, across the Mingjiang River via the Bridge. The construction of the Bridge will bring a positive economic effect to Fuzhou and an enormous impact to the strategic planning of its economy development.
