On 7th June, 2005, China Everbright International Limited (“CE International or “the Group”) had entered into a co-operation framework agreement with Zibo Municipal Government in relation to the joint cooperation and investment with a view to enhancing the city environmental protection and municipal infrastructural facilities in Zibo City. Mr. Li Xueming (Vice-chairman of CE International), Mr. Chen Xiaoping (Chief Executive Officer of CE International), Mr. Huang Chaohua (Deputy General Manager of CE International), Mr. Liu Huian (Mayor of Zibo City), Mr. Zhang Shaohong (Secretary General of Zibo Municipal Government) and Mr. Wang Xuze (Director of Zibo Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation) attended the signing ceremony.

Zibo City is currently the third largest industrial city in Shandong Province and possesses huge developing potential in environmental protection industry. During the signing ceremony, both parties introduced the current status and discussed in depth in the fields of sewage treatment and waste treatment and come into a mutual agreement. A cooperation team will also be established to further study the cooperation opportunities in the field of environmental protection.
