Everbright International's Zhenjiang Project Receives Green Light to Increase Waste Processing Fee

3 July 2015, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or "the Group") (SEHK: 00257) announced that Everbright Environmental Energy (Zhenjiang) Limited has been approved by the Zhenjiang Municipal People's Government to increase the waste processing fees of Zhenjiang Waste-to-energy Project ("Zhenjiang Project" or the "Project") Phases I and II by 15.4%. The revised fee came into effect on 25 May 2015.

Zhenjiang Project Phase I commenced operation in August 2011 with a daily waste processing capacity of 1,000 tonnes. Since Project Phase I has already reached its full operational capacity, the Group started the construction of Project Phase II in August 2014, which commenced operation in May 2015 and has a daily waste processing capacity of 400 tonnes. Zhenjiang Project fully complies with the Euro 2000 Standard in gas emission.

The waste processing fee adjustment demonstrates the local government's support and recognition of Everbright International's waste-to-energy projects. The Group will continue to ensure strict compliance with emission standards, assume its corporate and social responsibilities, and significantly contribute to the social and environmental development in Zhenjiang city.
