Everbright Water Secures Ji'nan Waste Water Treatment (Plant 1) Expansion Project

Singapore, 6 August 2015 – China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company", SGX: U9E) (中国光大水务有限公司), an environmental protection Group focuses on integrated environmental water business, has signed a supplementary concession agreement with Ji'nan Municipal Government, Shandong Province for the expansion of Ji'nan Waste Water Treatment Project (Plant 1) (the "Expansion Project").

Ji'nan Municipal Government has decided to expand Ji'nan Waste Water Treatment Project (Plant 1) to address the increasing domestic waste water treatment demand, following the rising population in eastern part of Ji'nan. The total investment for the Expansion Project is approximately RMB112 million, with an increase in daily waste water treatment capacity of 50,000 m3. Upon completion, the daily waste water treatment capacity of Ji'nan Waste Water Treatment Project (Plant 1) will increase from 300,000 m3 to 350,000 m3. The water discharge will comply with the national Grade 1A standard. The Expansion Project is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016. With this, the total designed waste water treatment capacity of Everbright Water in Ji'nan City reaches 810,000 m3 per day.

Mr. Wang Tianyi, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Everbright Water, said, "The total designed capacity of waste water treatment projects in Shandong Province invested by Everbright Water is over 1.8 million m3 per day, which represents around 20% of the total capacity of waste water treatment in the province. The Company also accounts for over 90% of Ji'nan's total waste water treatment capacity, reinforcing its leadership position in Shandong Province and Ji'nan City's waste water treatment industry. Going forward, the Company will continue to increase its market share in Shandong Province. In the meantime, we will make concerted effort in improving the economies of scale and social benefits of the waste water treatment projects in Shandong Province through centralised management and coordination so as to promote the sustainable development in social economy and environment in Shandong Province."
