Everbright International Develops Rooftop Photovoltaic Energy Generation Project

A breakthrough in the alternative energy business

China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or "the Group") announced that it has entered into a cooperative agreement with DuPont Apollo (Shenzhen) Limited. The Everbright Environmental-DuPont Apollo photovoltaic energy golden sun pilot project will carry a total investment cost of approximately RMB30,000,000.

Pursuant to the agreement, Everbright International will build a photovoltaic energy generation station on the rooftop of the DuPont plant, located at the DuPont Photovoltaic Energy Technology Industrial Park in Dongpian District, Guangming New District, Shenzhen. With a term of operation of 25 years, the energy station will have a total installed capacity of approximately 1,300 Kilowatt and is expected to be completed for operation in October this year. At present, the project has received approval from government departments including the Ministry of Finance and National Development and Reform Commission, and has been included in the 2009-2011 National Golden Sun Pilot Program. Hence, it is eligible for national financial subsidy under the construction of photovoltaic energy project covering 50% of the total investment cost.

Mr. Chen Xiaoping, Chief Executive Officer of Everbright International, said, "The agreement signifies further growth of Everbright International's footprint in the Shenzhen alternative energy market, and a breakthrough in our alternative energy business. This is also a new photovoltaic energy project in a new area, subsequent to the photovoltaic energy project in Huaining County, Anhui Province. Cooperating with a multi-national company to build and operate a rooftop photovoltaic energy project provides fresh direction for us to develop in the alternative energy sector. We have confidence and commitment to building a successful green energy and alternative energy business."
