Everbright International Signs Letter of Intent for Strategic Cooperation with Beijing Municipality

Leverages Business Strengths and Facilitates the Development of Environmental Protection Industry in Beijing

31 July 2013, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that the Group has signed a "Letter of Intent for Strategic Cooperation in Solid Waste Treatment Sector" ("Letter of Intent") with the Beijing Municipal Commission of City Administration and Environment. Both parties intend to deepen their cooperation in the areas of solid waste treatment and jointly facilitate the development of the environmental protection industry in Beijing.

The signing of the Letter of Intent signifies the establishment of a mutually beneficial cooperation between Beijing and Everbright International. By capitalizing on the respective strengths and engaging in joint development, both parties will strengthen their communication on industry trends, regulatory issues, technological innovation and project information. Meanwhile, Everbright International will actively participate in investment, construction and operations in the area of solid waste treatment.
