Everbright International's Jinan Licheng Waste Water Treatment Project Phase II Completes Construction and Commences Operation

Total Waste Water Treatment Fees of Project Phase I & II Increase by 32%

4 November 2013, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that the construction of Jinan Licheng Waste Water Treatment Project (Plant 3) Phase II ("Licheng Phase II Project") was completed on 1 November and has commenced commercial operation. The total waste water treatment fees of Licheng Phase I & II increased by 32% on the same day that Phase II was completed and commenced operation.

Licheng Phase II Project was invested in and constructed on a BOT (Built-Operate-Transfer) basis with a total investment of RMB 195 million and a daily waste water treatment capacity of 100,000 m3. The combined daily waste water treatment capacity of Licheng Phase I & II is 200,000 m3. The total daily waste water treatment capacity of the four existing waste water treatment plants of Everbright International in Jinan City has now reached 730,000 m3, and the four plants have all complied with the Grade 1A national waste water discharge standard.
