Everbright International's Suqian Project Receives Green Light to Increase Waste Processing Fee

17 April 2015, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or "the Group") (SEHK: 00257) announced that Everbright Environmental Energy (Suqian) Limited has been approved by the Suqian Municipal Government to increase the waste processing fee of Suqian Waste-to-energy Project in Jiangsu Province ("Suqian Project") by 14%. The revised fee has been effective since 1 March 2015.

Suqian Project commenced operation in 2012, commanding a total investment of approximately RMB324 million. The Project is designed with a daily waste processing capacity of 600 tonnes with annual green electricity generation of over 64,000,000 kWh. All gas emissions have complied with the Euro 2000 standard.

Suqian Project adopted the Group's self-developed grate furnaces and automatic control system, and is fully committed to safe operation and strict compliance with emission standards. The waste processing fee adjustment demonstrates the local government's support and recognition of the Group's waste-to-energy projects. While complying with discharge standards, the Group will, as always, commit to corporate social responsibility so as to make a greater contribution to the social and environmental development in Suqian.
