Everbright International's Zhenjiang Waste-to-energy Project Phase II Obtains RMB10 Million Subsidy from NDRC

17 August 2015, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") is pleased to announce that the Group's Zhenjiang Waste-to-energy Project ("Zhenjiang Project") Phase II in Jiangsu Province has obtained a subsidy of RMB10 million under the scheme of the "2015 Central Budgetary Investment Plan", jointly organized by the National Development and Reform Commission ("NDRC"), the Ministry of Finance and other national ministries.

Zhenjiang Project Phase II completed construction and commenced operation in May 2015, it is also the Group's 16th waste-to-energy project in operation. The project commanded a total investment of approximately RMB200 million, with a designed daily waste processing capacity of 400 tonnes and is expected to generate over 45,000,000 kWh of green electricity annually. It fully complies with the Euro 2000 Standard in gas emissions.

Mr. Chen Xiaoping, CEO of Everbright International, said, "Following the subsidies that Changzhou Xinbei Waste-to-energy Project and Wujiang Waste-to-energy Project received earlier this year, Zhenjiang Project Phase II has also obtained a subsidy from the same scheme. This demonstrates Everbright International's continuous efforts to undertake its environmental and social responsibilities, once again receiving recognition and support from various government departments. Riding on this opportunity, the Group will continue to build Zhenjiang into a garden eco-city, making its sky bluer and its water cleaner. In the meantime, the Group will leverage its consistently state-of-art technology and high quality construction to build every project to the highest standards, and adhere to safe operations and strict compliance to emission standards in order to set a benchmark in the industry and contribute to the sustainable development of the society and the environment."
