Mr. Chen Xiaoping, CEO of Everbright International, said, "The two successful bids for the waste-to-energy projects are a testament to the Group's comprehensive strength and first-rate market expansion capability. Yongzhou Project is another breakthrough in market expansion achieved by Everbright International in Hunan Province, following the Yiyang Waste-to-energy Project. Ya'an Project is the Group's first project in Sichuan Province to be secured via a bidding process and is also the Group's fourth environmental protection project in Sichuan Province. The projects will positively contribute to establishing Everbright International's brand presence and consolidate the Group's market position in the provinces. Additionally, both projects further demonstrate the Group's development strategy of expanding "from coastal areas to inland areas". The completion of the projects will help to improve the overall urban environment in the two cities and help achieve the goals of conserving both land resources and environmental pollution control as well as ensuring the integrated utilization of resources."
