Everbright International's First Urban-rural Integration Project Completes Construction

6 April 2016, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that its first urban-rural integration project has completed construction. Dangshan Waste-to-energy Project in Anhui Province supported by the facilities of the existing Dangshan Biomass Power Generation Project, completed construction and successfully passed a 72+24-hour trial run today.

Dangshan Waste-to-energy Project Phase I was constructed and operated on a BOO (Build-Operate-Own) basis with a total investment of approximately RMB250 million. Phase I has a total daily household waste processing capacity of 400 tonnes and is expected to generate approximately 41,000,000 kWh of green electricity annually. Gas emissions will fully comply with the Euro 2000 Standard.

Dangshan Waste-to-energy Project is located next to Everbright International's Dangshan Biomass Power Generation Project. These two projects form the Group's first urban-rural integration project and will work in synergy to process household, agricultural and forestry waste in Dangshan and the surrounding counties and cities. They will share the office building, production facilities and management team in order to effectively reduce operation costs and boost management efficiency.
