20 September 2017, Hong Kong - China Everbright Greentech Limited ("Everbright Greentech" or "the Company") (SEHK: 01257), is pleased to announce that it supported the Hong Kong charity premiere of the BBC's documentary "Earth: One Amazing Day", as the sole title sponsor. The film was successfully held on 19 September. Everbright Greentech, through WWF-Hong Kong, invited 200 teenagers from the local schools and communities to attend the charity premiere, which sought to raise awareness of environmental protection and plant a seed in an effort to cultivate a perpetual future for the Earth.

Mr. QIAN Xiaodong, CEO of Everbright Greentech, said, "The Earth is home to humans. This documentary shows the subtle but stunning power of our only common home. However, the planet now faces a number of serious ecological crises, such as climate change, melting glaciers, freshwater scarcity, species extinction and chemical pollution. We hope that, through this film, everyone could realise the beauty of the Earth and that we need to work together to preserve the beauty as it was."

Students who attended the premiere were amazed by the power of the natural world as captured in the film. "This was my first time to watch a nature documentary in the theatre. The film took me on a journey through nature and I saw a lot of wild animals such as hummingbird that I have never encountered before. It was really an eye-opener," said Alma Tsui, a Form 4 student from Pope Paul VI College in Hong Kong. Trinity Tse from the same college added, "The film showed the fierce competition among wild animals and highlighted that we should try to avoid the destruction of valuable natural resources to reduce the extinction of wild animals."

The BBC's nature documentary "Earth" recorded a total worldwide box office revenue exceeding USD 100 million, and "Earth: One Amazing Day", the next episode in the series, has been released after a decade's wait. "Earth: One Amazing Day" was shot across 22 countries for as long as three years, revealing the beauty of natural life in a mind-blowing way. This educational film documents and interprets the natural world and calls on humans to protect nature.
