Everbright Water Secures Jiangsu Yangzhou Jiangdu Development Zone Industrial Waste Water Centralised Pre-treatment and Ancillary Pipeline Network Project

Singapore, 17 September 2018 – China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company", SGX: U9E) (中国光大水务有限公司), an environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, is pleased to announce that the Company has recently signed a supplemental agreement and secured Jiangsu Yangzhou Jiangdu Development Zone Industrial Waste Water Centralised Pre-treatment and Ancillary Pipeline Network Project ("Yangzhou Jiangdu Industrial Waste Water Centralised Pre-treatment and Pipeline Project" or the "Project"). The Company will be responsible for the investment, construction and operation of the Project, which commands an investment of approximately RMB55 million.

As an ancillary project to the Company’s Yangzhou Jiangdu Development Zone Waste Water Treatment Project ("Yangzhou Jiangdu Project"), the scope of the Project will include an industrial waste water pre-treatment project with a daily treatment capacity of 6,000 m3 and 4.5 kilometers of pipeline network. After being treated during the pre-treatment process, the industrial waste water will be conveyed to Yangzhou Jiangdu Project for final treatment. Thereafter, the discharge water from the final treatment will comply with the national Grade 1A standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002) ("the national Grade 1A standard").

Yangzhou Jiangdu Project was invested in and built based on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model. It has a designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 250,000 m3 and a concession period of 25 years. Yangzhou Jiangdu Project (Phase I) and Yangzhou Jiangdu Project (Phase II and Upgrading) commenced operation in 2007 and 2015 respectively, with their discharged water both complying with the national Grade 1A standard.

Yangzhou Jiangdu Project has been operating smoothly for many years. After the Project commencing operation, the industrial waste water from the Jiangdu Economic Development Zone will be further effectively treated. As such, this will play an important role to improve the local water environment and develop a new type of economic development zone in the region.

Separately, the Company has recently secured Liaoning Dalian Pulandian Sludge Advanced Treatment Project, which has a total designed daily sludge advanced treatment capacity of 70 tonnes. The project phase I has a designed daily treatment capacity of 50 tonnes and commands an investment of approximately RMB16 million, with its concession period running concurrently with that of the Company’s Pulandian Waste Water Treatment Project. The water content of sludge after dehydration will be no higher than 60% of total sludge weight.
