Everbright Water Secures Xuzhou Yanqun Household Waste Landfill Leachate Treatment Project in Jiangsu Province

Singapore, 14 December 2018 – China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company", SGX: U9E) (中国光大水务有限公司), an environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, is pleased to announce that the Company has secured Jiangsu Xuzhou Yanqun Household Waste Landfill Leachate Treatment Project ("Xuzhou Yanqun Leachate Treatment Project"), which commands an investment of approximately RMB51.46 million.

Xuzhou Yanqun Leachate Treatment Project will be invested in and constructed based on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model. Everbright Water will be responsible for the design, construction, installation, commissioning and operation of a leachate treatment system with a designed daily treatment capacity of 600 m3. Discharged water from the leachate treatment will comply with requirements indicated in Chart 2 of the Standard for Pollution Control on the Landfill Site of Municipal Solid Waste (GB16889-2008).

Xuzhou Yanqun Leachate Treatment Project is the first leachate treatment service project of Everbright Water. This is of great importance for the Company in expanding new business and strengthening cooperation between the Company and Xuzhou City in the environmental water sector. Following completion of construction work, the project will properly process leachate from the Yanqun Waste Landfill site. The project will also effectively reduce potential environmental risks incurred from leachate leakage. The Company will provide full support to the project team, carry out project preparatory work in an orderly manner, and uphold the construction philosophy of "first-class quality, high standards, and outstanding efficiency", with an aim to develop a quality project.
