Everbright Water Secures Shandong Binzhou Development Zone Waste Water Treatment Project Phase II Expansion


Singapore and Hong Kong, 26 March 2020 – China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company", stock codes: U9E.SG and 1857.HK) (中国光大水务有限公司), an environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, is pleased to announce that the Company recently signed a supplementary agreement with the Management Committee of Binzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in Shandong Province. Pursuant to the said supplementary agreement, the Company has secured Shandong Binzhou Development Zone Waste Water Treatment Project ("Binzhou Project") Phase II Expansion, which commands an investment of approximately RMB117 million.

Binzhou Project Phase II Expansion will be invested in, constructed and operated based on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model. Its concession period will expire concurrently with Binzhou Project Phase II. With a designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 40,000 m3, Binzhou Project Phase II Expansion will adopt the "pre-treatment + A2/O + advanced treatment" processes. The discharged water will comply with the national Grade 1A standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002) ("national Grade 1A standard").

Binzhou Project Phase I and Phase II are currently operating smoothly and in compliance with relevant discharge standards. They have an aggregate designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 60,000 m3, with discharged water in compliance with the national Grade 1A standard. By securing Binzhou Project Phase II Expansion, the total daily waste water treatment capacity of Binzhou Project will reach 100,000 m3. This will further enhance the Company’s waste water treatment capacity and solidify its position in the local water market.
