Everbright International's Shandong Rizhao Waste-to-energy Project Completes Construction and Commences Operation28 October 2015, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that its Shandong Rizhao Waste-to-energy Project ("Rizhao Project" or the "Project") Phase I has completed construction and commenced operation. 。
Rizhao Project Phase I started construction in August 2014 and after successfully passing the "72+24" hours trial run in October 2015, it officially commenced commercial operation and connected to the national power grid, completing ahead of schedule by two-and-a-half months. The total investment in Project Phase I was RMB350 million, and it is designed with a daily household waste processing capacity of 600 tonnes. All gas emissions comply with the Euro 2000 Standard and it is expected to generate over 71,000,000 kWh of green electricity annually.
Mr. Chen Xiaoping, CEO of Everbright International, said, "Rizhao Project is Everbright International's third operating waste-to-energy project in Shandong Province. It is also the Group's fourth waste-to-energy project that has commenced operation within the year.
